A warranty policy exists to give you confidence in the items we choose to ship to you. As with all warranty programs of other online stores, each claim is considered on an individual basis.
Aquarium Supplies Warranty
Most of the aquarium supplies sold on our site come with a standard manufacturer's warranty. In the unlikely event that a product is found to be defective, we recommend that you visit the manufacturer's website and follow their instructions regarding repair or replacement.
In the event of difficulty installing/using the product, first ensure that you follow all instructions contained in the manufacturer's instruction manuals.
In the case of discontinued products, an exchange may be made for a product that is equivalent or superior to that currently sold. The responsibility for such exchange lies solely with the supplier/manufacturer.
Any change to the product of origin void the warranty. For example: removing serial number stickers or other warranty related markings, etc.
Livestock Guarantee Details
When you order live fish from Reef Exclusive, your purchase is backed by our Live Arrival Guarantee.
For corals, fish and invertebrates, we can only guarantee a Live Arrival. These items are very sensitive and require optimal conditions to maintain color and health.
If the animals came in good condition, the corals opened up, without visible damage, then the further responsibility for the animals rests entirely with the new owner.
Beginner aquarists or aquarists with newly established aquariums (less than six months old) should not purchase any species marked "No Guarantee" .
Conditions for obtaining a Livestock Guarantee
For the rare occurrence in which the livestock you ordered does not survive, it is important that you be familiar with the terms and conditions of our guarantee.
The guarantee is good for 2 hours after it leaves UPS possession. This means that the guarantee starts the minute you pick up your shipment at the UPS Hold Location, or the minute UPS drops it off if you chose to have delivery beyond the hold location.
You will receive compensation for the dead animal. Shipping costs and associated packaging fees are NOT covered by any warranty and are non-refundable.
Failure to be present when your order is delivered will void your warranty.
We cannot guarantee the delivery of items that have arrived due to weather delays.
If for any reason the delivery is refused or returned, you will be responsible for the full cost of the invoice. All warranties are void.
If your order is delayed by the carrier, you must still be prepared to receive the shipment and acclimate all contents.

Learn the requirements for each livestock to ensure the right environment and compatible tankmates.
Use the internet to answer any questions you may have prior to making a purchase, because once you receive your items, these creatures will be your responsibility. There is limited information on our site, and some of our species are uncommon.
Claims do not apply to livestock killed or injured as a result of exposure to the environment in your aquarium.
We are not responsible for existing fish in your aquarium or for fish sold as "starter fish" for new aquariums. The warranty does not cover fish purchased for new aquariums (less than 6 weeks old).
We can void your warranty if you have fish that are not reef safe.
Warranty does not apply if your tank is not the recommended size.
The warranty does not cover deaths due to jumping out of the tank and system failures.
Livestock must not show signs of injury and/or signs of fighting, such as torn fins, scratches or bite marks or being eaten by tank mates.
